Christopher Reeve is well known as a skilled actor in Hollywood. Some would say that his performance as Superman in the famous 1970s movie is incomparable. He stood tall and strong at a towering six feet and four inches, truly bringing the super hero to life. For decades after, he consistently played a variety of roles that challenged him greatly. Unfortunately, one of those roles changed his life in the worst possible way. He suffered from paralysis and was confined to a wheel chair for the rest of his life. Being paralyzed made his life extremely difficult, but he persevered and used his influence to help other who were in the same situation as he was. His contributions have made the search for treatment and a possible cure a reality. Christopher Reeve has made a difference.
